Welcome to FindJoy. These terms cover your use of findjoygivejoy.com and any purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
Who we are
FindJoy is a mission-driven apparel and lifestyle brand founded in 2016 by Shelby Dutton, operated by Find Joy LLC, a limited liability company based in Montana, United States.
Find Joy LLC is a for-profit business. We are not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and purchases are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
Our giving commitment
10% of every sale goes directly to children and families battling childhood illness.
To be precise about what that means:
- It is calculated on the sale, not on profit.
- It goes directly to families we support, in the form of Boxes of JOY and direct assistance, not to an intermediary charity.
- It is a commitment made by this business out of its own revenue. You are not making a donation when you buy from us; you are buying a product from a company that gives.
- Because it is not a donation by you, you cannot claim it as a charitable deduction.
Placing an order
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it. We may refuse or cancel any order, including where an item was mispriced, where we suspect fraud, or where we cannot fulfill it. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund you in full. All prices are in US dollars.
Made-to-order products
Our products are printed on demand after you order. This affects returns and cancellations. Please read our Refund and Return Policy and Shipping Policy before ordering; both form part of these terms.
Product accuracy
We try hard to show our products accurately, but screens vary and printed color can differ slightly from what you see. Garment measurements can vary a small amount between individual items. These variations are normal for printed apparel and are not defects.
Intellectual property
The FindJoy name, logo, designs, product artwork, photographs, and site content are owned by Find Joy LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
The FindJoy logo is the handwriting of a child. It is not a font and it is not public domain. You may not reproduce, print, resell, or create derivative works from our logo or designs without written permission.
You may share our product photos and posts on social media with credit.
The families and stories on this site
The stories on this site are shared with the permission of the families involved. Please treat them accordingly. Do not reuse family stories, names, or images from this site for your own commercial purposes.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, upload malicious code, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it.
Third parties
Our store runs on Shopify and our products are fulfilled by third-party print providers. Payment is handled by Shopify's payment processors; we never see or store your full card details. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find Joy LLC's total liability arising out of any order or your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order is the one that governs that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
