About

Our Story

FindJoy began in 2016 when founder Shelby Dutton started helping a young girl battling pediatric cancer and her family. That incredible 9-year-old's own handwriting became the FindJoy logo, a tangible, personal connection to the families we serve.

The first Box of JOY was given to that family, and over seven years later, that family has moved to the survivorship clinic. Her handwriting lives on in everything we do.

Our Mission

10% of every sale goes directly to children and families battling childhood illness.

FindJoy operates at the intersection of commerce and compassion. Every purchase helps us deliver Boxes of JOY and direct support to families walking through the hardship of pediatric illness. This isn't a corporate social responsibility program. It's a family's lived experience.

Why the N is Backwards

When life turns you around with an unexpected diagnosis or obstacle, we encourage you to FINDJOY in the middle of the chaos. At times this may feel impossible, but even the smallest things can bring JOY to your day. For us, that has been Pop Rock loaded chocolate bars, craft supplies overtaking the hospital bed, and friendship. When you look, you will FindJoy.

Meet Shelby

Shelby Dutton is the founder, CEO, and creative heart behind FindJoy. Her mission deepened when her own daughter was diagnosed with Failure to Thrive, and the same kinds of resources she had helped others find became critical to her own family. Today, Shelby continues to connect with families across the country, delivering Boxes of JOY and building a community that chooses hope.

Our Families

Every FindJoy product tells the story of a real family. From the Daisy line honoring a child lost to illness, to the Washington FINDJOY collection supporting a young man battling leukemia. When you wear FindJoy, you carry their stories with you.
