What is FindJoy?
FindJoy is a mission-driven apparel and lifestyle brand founded in 2016 by Shelby Dutton. It sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, bags and accessories, and 10% of every sale goes directly to children and families battling childhood illness.
How much of each FindJoy purchase goes to families?
10% of every sale goes directly to children and families battling childhood illness. The money goes straight to the families themselves rather than to an intermediary charity or to general awareness campaigns.
Is FindJoy a nonprofit? Are purchases tax-deductible?
No. FindJoy is a for-profit business, not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so purchases are not tax-deductible donations. FindJoy gives 10% of every sale directly to families as a commitment of the business, not as a charitable donation on the buyer's behalf.
Who designed the FindJoy logo?
The FindJoy logo is the actual handwriting of a 9-year-old girl who was battling pediatric cancer in 2016. She was the first family FindJoy supported. More than seven years later she has moved to the survivorship clinic, and her handwriting still appears on every product.
Why is the N backwards in the FindJoy logo?
The backwards N represents being turned around by an unexpected diagnosis or obstacle. It is a reminder to find joy in the middle of the chaos, even when that feels impossible.
Who is Daisy, and what is the Daisy collection?
Daisy was a young girl who became friends with another patient at Seattle Children's Hospital School. She died at the age of 8. The FindJoy Daisy collection honors her, and her memory lives on in the Daisy Rainbow Toy Program, which benefits pediatric patients at Benefis Health Systems.
What is a Box of JOY?
A Box of JOY is a package of encouragement and practical support that FindJoy delivers to a family walking through pediatric illness. The first Box of JOY went to the family of the girl who drew the FindJoy logo.
What products does FindJoy sell?
FindJoy sells unisex, women's and kids' t-shirts, long sleeve tees, crewneck sweatshirts and tank tops, plus tote bags, canvas lunch bags, enamel and glass drinkware, hats, stickers, journals, wall banners, a necklace and coffee.
Who founded FindJoy and where is it based?
FindJoy was founded in 2016 by Shelby Dutton, who serves as CEO. The brand is based in Montana and ships across the United States.
